I like Canada where has a big territory and the small number of population.
It is different from Korea, my country, to have a small territory and many
people compared to the size of the land. That's why I can relax here. It is
almost same with the time when I visited here 2 years ago. I was surprised at
some facts at that time. First, the Internet is expensive in Canada. We use the
Internet cheaply and quickly in Korea, therefore, we can use that anytime and
anywhere as much as we want to. It takes just 5 minutes if we want to download
some videos or movies. However, it takes some hours here. Second, Canadian love
pets. It is rare not to find out people having pets like dogs or cats at home.
There are also 2 dogs at my home, homestay. Of course, Korean love pets, but
only some people have pets. That's because many Korean live in apartments where
we can't stay with pets. Third, I have to remain dry the bottom of bathroom in
Canada. I can remain wet it in my country. Therefore, it is little
uncomfortable for me to use that. I still remembered Toronto trip 2 years ago. I
lost my way because the transportation system is very different. Even I was
dragged from the subway because I bought a wrong ticket and tried to take a
subway. There are some differences between here and my country. For some
reason, I sometimes have a difficulty to live in, nevertheless, I like here. I
have no special reason. I just like persons who are kind and landscape that is quiet
and different from my country. Above all, I’m satisfied with that I can study
English as much as I want and I can make many new foreign friends staying here
at the same time.

I'm Dayoun Kim from South Korea. My English name is Diane. It has a similar pronunciation with my real name, moreover, many foreign friends have a difficulty to pronounce my Korean name. That's why I choose this English name. I came here just 3 days ago, so I'm still suffering from jetlag. I'm nearly falling asleep. The long flight from Incheon to Toronto is hard to me. Actually, I visited here 2 years ago. It was a good experience at that time, therefore, I came here again. I enjoyed taking classes and joining various activities. In addition, I had many new foreign friends at first in my life. I sometimes feel Welland is boring because there is liitle place for young people. However, I think it is the best to concentrate on studying English, because I'm a very positive person. Now I’m here to improve my English skills. I like English and want to speak English fluently. I have studied English since I was a middle school 2nd year, and my major in my university is English now, nevertheless, I think my English is not good yet. That’s why I’m writing this in here to study more. I have another plan in Canada. It is not everything to study, but travels. When I was here 2 years ago, I didn’t travel many places. I regretted that after I came back in my country. I want to travel in Canada and near U.S.A, for example Quebec city, Toronto, Buffalo and New York. I’m planning about air plane, hostel and bus with my friends, but it is quite difficult. Especially all things that we need when we go to travel like accommodations and flights are expensive during the peak season. I believe myself that I can find a reasonable flight and accommodation. I really want to travel many places, and then, I think it helps me improve English. My goal now is to study English and improve English skills. The next goal is to make many new foreign friends. It also helps me improve English skills and it is the way to experience wider world through this summer. I’m expecting that I will develop myself. My hobby is to memorize new English words. I’m sure you don’t believe it, because it is only joke. I like English, but I don’t enjoy studying English. Studying is hardest in the world if you are a student who is learning something. That’s because I enjoy watching American or England drama. This is the way that I can watch TV, at the same time, I can study English. I recommend to many students who are studying English.
