I like Canada where has a big territory and the small number of population. It is different from Korea, my country, to have a small territory and many people compared to the size of the land. That's why I can relax here. It is almost same with the time when I visited here 2 years ago. I was surprised at some facts at that time. First, the Internet is expensive in Canada. We use the Internet cheaply and quickly in Korea, therefore, we can use that anytime and anywhere as much as we want to. It takes just 5 minutes if we want to download some videos or movies. However, it takes some hours here. Second, Canadian love pets. It is rare not to find out people having pets like dogs or cats at home. There are also 2 dogs at my home, homestay. Of course, Korean love pets, but only some people have pets. That's because many Korean live in apartments where we can't stay with pets. Third, I have to remain dry the bottom of bathroom in Canada. I can remain wet it in my country. Therefore, it is little uncomfortable for me to use that. I still remembered Toronto trip 2 years ago. I lost my way because the transportation system is very different. Even I was dragged from the subway because I bought a wrong ticket and tried to take a subway. There are some differences between here and my country. For some reason, I sometimes have a difficulty to live in, nevertheless, I like here. I have no special reason. I just like persons who are kind and landscape that is quiet and different from my country. Above all, I’m satisfied with that I can study English as much as I want and I can make many new foreign friends staying here at the same time.

  1. Diane, it was really interesting to read your post. It had a clear view of the Canadian peculiarities that had not noticed before. It revealed me some differences between Korean and Canadian living styles and definitely enreached my outlook. I think, that differences between countries, is that we should accept. It is very good to have something that makes our ways of living unique. It helps us understand what we do not have in our countries and should improve. At the same time, it makes us possible to understand, be proud of and cherish our homelands achievements that are not available abroad.
